The registration deadline for 'Let's work better together', an event co-run by Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospice UK, has been extended to Monday 3 August.

The event takes place in London on Monday 14 September, and is targeted at clinicians, business leaders and fundraisers working in hospices and palliative care, as well as commissioners, funders and network end of life leads.

The purpose of the event is to discuss and understand current and future ways of working between Macmillan, Hospice UK and individual hospices and explore how we may evolve stronger partnership working to provide even better palliative and end of life care.

Chairing the event will be Macmillan chief executive, Lynda Thomas, and Hospice UK's national director for hospice care, Dr Ros Taylor MBE. Keynote speakers include:

  • Dame Barbara Monroe, former chief executive of St Christopher’s Hospice
  • Dr Sarah Wollaston, MP, Chair of Commons Health Select Committee
  • Dr Helen Bevan, chief of service transformation at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.

For more information, including details on how to register, visit the registration website. Places will be confirmed after the registration deadline passes on Monday 3 August.
