Event to foster closer working between local hospices and national charities

13 July 2015

Register now for a new "first of a kind" event which aims to strengthen partnership working between Macmillan, Hospice UK and individual hospices.

The Let’s work better together event is being co-run by Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospice UK and will take place in London on 14 September 2015.

The purpose of the event is to discuss and understand current and future ways of working between Macmillan, Hospice UK and individual hospices and explore how to evolve stronger partnership working to provide even better palliative and end of life care.

The event is relevant to clinicians, business leaders and fundraisers working in hospices and palliative care, commissioners, funders and network end of life leads.

Lynda Thomas, Macmillan chief executive, and Dr Ros Taylor MBE, national director for hospice care at Hospice UK, will co-chair the day.

Keynote speakers include:
  • Dame Barbara Monroe, former chief executive of St Christopher’s Hospice
  • Dr Sarah Wollaston, MP, Chair of Commons Health Select Committee
  • Dr Helen Bevan, Chief of Service Transformation at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.

For more information and to register, visit the registration website. The registration deadline is Friday 24 July and places will be confirmed after this date.
