Call for papers for Marie Curie research conference

03 May 2018

Marie Curie is calling for posters and abstracts for their upcoming conference.

The annual Marie Curie Palliative Care Research Conference, held jointly with the Palliative Care Section of the Royal Society of Medicine in London, is an opportunity for researchers and professionals working in palliative care to come together and present their latest findings.

This year’s theme is ‘From radical to real – implementing new models of palliative care.’ Following on from the Palliative Care Section’s event ‘Radical change: A blueprint for the next 50 years of dying,’ organised with St Christopher’s Hospice and Hospice UK last year, the Royal Society of Medicine and Marie Curie host this research-focused meeting to develop learning about how radical and new models of palliative and end of life care work in practice. This includes innovative approaches to addressing the challenges in palliative care.

Submissions are now open for abstracts for short presentations and posters on research in palliative and end of life care. Whilst abstracts relevant to the theme are more likely to be chosen for oral presentation, submissions on any subject in palliative and end of life care are welcome.

The deadline to submit is May 31. Successful abstracts will be published in the BMJ Supportive and Palliative Care.
