Charity Governance Awards 2018

05 December 2017

The Charity Governance Awards 2018 are open for entries until January 12. The awards recognise and reward charities for achieving great governance from their trustees.

The awards are free to enter and are open to all charities. There are seven categories including board diversity and inclusivity, embracing digital, and improving impact.  The winner of each category will receive £5,000.

The not-for-profit initiative was created to celebrate outstanding governance in charities both small and large. The awards are organised by The Clothworkers’ Company – a City Livery company that supports trusteeship initiatives - in partnership with charity think tank and consultancy NPC (New Philanthropy Capital, charity recruitment specialists Prospectus and volunteer matching charity Reach.

Last year’s winners included The Prisoners’ Education Trust for improving impact, and Asthma UK in the embracing digital category. On winning the award, Kay Boycott, Chief Executive of Asthma UK said:

“Trustees are really the unsung volunteers and to see some of the work they do be recognised is fantastic.”

The awards will be presented to the winners at an invitation-only drinks reception in May 2018.
