Don't miss out on an amazing opportunity

Registrations for the conference have been pouring in and and organisers report they already have delegates from 35 different countries who have registered. "It is going to be a true coming together of people from all across the globe, eager to learn from one another and with a shared passion for children's pallaitive care. You don't want to miss out on this fantastic opportunity!" says Sue Boucher, Chair of the Local Organising Committee for the conference.

Draft programme now available
The draft programme can now be viewed on the conference website.

The conference organisers have recruited a world class line up of plenary speakers from within South Africa, as well as from India, UK, USA, Portugal and Greece who are all eager to inspire and teach. Most of these speakers will also be involved in presenting at the full day of pre-conference workshops on Wednesday 30 May.

Speakers include Dr MR Rajagopal, featured in the film 'Hippocratic: 18 Experiments in Gently Shaking the World'; Sister Frances Dominica, founder of the very first children's hospice and Dr Sat Jassal (MBE) chair and editor of the APPM Master Formulary for Paediatric Palliative Medicine. Learn about all the speakers here.

South African premiere of the film Hippocratic
The ICPCN Conference committee is thrilled to announce that the programme will include the premiere showing in South Africa of the acclaimed film Hippocratic: 18 Experiments in Gently Shaking the World exploring the life story of the extraordinary Indian physician, Dr MR Rajagopal. Dr Raj, described by the New York Times as 'the father of palliative care in India', is a small man with a big dream: a pain-free India. This film will transport you through time and space on an unforgettable journey through India and bring to light the realities of providing health care to the world's most populous democratic society.
