Caregivers Nova Scotia Offers Workshops on Advance Care Planning for Caregivers

09 April 2018

On March 3rd, the Caregivers Nova Scotia Association delivered a free workshop on starting conversations about future healthcare wishes at the Colchester-East Hants Public Library in Truro, NS.

The workshop asked caregivers: Who will speak for you or your loved one if you cannot speak for yourself? Caregivers NS has been providing this Advance Care Planning for Caregivers workshop for a couple of years now, helping Nova Scotians start the conversation with their loved ones. Along with running the workshop, the organization is creating buzz around ACP Day with an article in the Chronicle-Herald, part of a monthly Senior Living column written by the Executive Director of Caregivers NS, Angus Campbell. With Caregiver Awareness Month in May, there will be more workshops to come highlighting caregivers’ needs and roles in having important conversations with their loved ones.
