A six-step guide to successful event fundraising has been outlined by Martin Campbell from Blackbaud on the Institute of Fundraising blog.

The blog summaries a presentation on best practice, given by Martin and Peter Davies, senior volunteer fundraising manager at Cancer Research UK, at a recent conference.

The authors report that the area where there is most room for improvement is fundraising activation – encouraging and supporting people who have registered for an event to fundraise.
