Nominate an inspiring older person for the 60 over 60 list.

To complement the release of a new report, 'Ageing in the 21st Century: A Celebration and a Challenge'  UNFPA and HelpAge International are creating a list of 60 inspiring and influential older people over 60.

Perceptions of the world’s ‘age burden’ are outdated…older people can be athletes, statesmen, innovators, entrepreneurs, caregivers, activists. They can teach, inspire, influence, lead, innovate and create.

As longevity increases and health improves, older people can contribute more to society than ever before.

Their contributions will become increasingly important as the world grows older – a phenomenon that is happening in nearly every country and every region.

Submit your nomination on the 7 Billion Actions website. Nominations will close on 23 November 2012
